Wonder if Patch is going to ask each prospective candidate to write a paragraph or two as to why they would be good for the seat on the Board of Education? Even if they have to run again if a few months (if they will) getting selected will give whoever gets chosen a big advantage over any other challanger.

Hi Gary, Patch will profile each of the candidates before the meeting on Jan. 3. Stay tuned!

Thank Liz, I hope someone will also be able to report on the actual process, as the agenda for the 1/3/2012 meeting: http://www.westfieldnjk12.org/education/components/scrapbook/default.php?sectiondetailid=4946 (note above only reflects the current upcoming agenda, these are not apparently archived online as much as I can tell) does not mention a "public" meeting, just the private session, which does not agree with the "public" implication of the press release for that meeting: http://www.westfieldnjk12.org/education/components/scrapbook/default.php?sectiondetailid=25412&pagecat=303&pagecat=303&#gotonew Hopefully, it will be a public, open to anyone who wants to attend, process at least for the interview stage.

Looks like the agenda has been recently updated to indicate the interviews will be public.
