Westfield parents hoping to get a jump on planning activities around next year's school calendar are in luck. The school district has released its calendar for the 2013-2014 school year.

Westfield Public School Dates and 2013-14 School Year Calendar:

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

  • Tuesday, Sept. 3
ROSH HASHANAH
  • Thursday-Friday, Sept. 5-6 (schools closed)
COLUMBUS DAY
  • Monday, Oct. 14 (schools closed)
TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DAYS
  • Thursday, Nov. 7, Friday, Nov. 8 (schools closed)
THANKSGIVING RECESS
  • Wednesday, Nov. 27 (4-hour session all schools)
  • Thursday, Nov. 28- Friday, Nov. 29 (schools closed)
WINTER BREAK
  • Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Jan. 1
DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. HOLIDAY
  • Monday, Jan. 20
PRESIDENTS' DAY WEEKEND
  • Friday, Feb. 14- Monday, Feb. 17 (schools closed)
SPRING BREAK
  • Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18
MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY
  • Monday, May 26
