Redeemer School - Thanks for Giving Back!

As the days lead up to Thanksgiving, Redeemer School is reminded that we are a mission-minded in teaching children that we help those in need, and this is evident in the weekly Chapel offerings we bring to school in order to donate to worthy causes.

In the months of September and October, we were collecting our offerings to assist with post-Sandy relief efforts, one year later.  Children remembered back to the Superstorm and gladly donated to help those still involved in the restoration process.  We donated over $200 to a church in Manasquan that opens their doors to volunteers who continue to help those in need.

In the months of November and December, we have selected to donate our collections in two ways.  Nonperishable food items are being brought by children to donate to the local food pantry.  And monetary donations are being sent to Redeemer Lutheran in Newark, as they begin a volunteer after-school program to assist neighborhood children who have no safe place to go at the end of the school day.  Again, our children are reaching out to others in need.
