Town Employees to Get Pay Raises in July

Westfield Council adopts payroll resolution, salary increases will be effective Monday, July 1.

Salaried employees of the Town of Westfield will see an increase in their paychecks effective July 1 after the Town Council adopted a payroll resolution at its meeting on Tuesday, May 21. 

As of Monday, July 1, Town Administrator Jim Gildea, among the town's highest paid employees, will earn an annual salary of $152,347. Westfield Chief of Police David Wayman will earn $135,702, while Town Engineer Kris McAloon's salary has increased to $122,457. Public Works Superintendent Claude Shaffer will receive $93,928 annually.

Westfield Fire Chief Dan Kelly will receive $133,408 annually, while Deputy Fire Chief David Kelly will earn $120,720.

Mayor Andy Skibitsky announced that his and other council members' salaries will remain at $1 per year, though traditionally those paychecks have gone uncashed.
