Westfield Memorial Library Update for Friday, Nov. 2

The library has heat but not WiFi.

The Westfield Memorial Library is packed once again today as residents seek heat and the opportunity to charge their phones and laptops.

Library publicist Roz Giuditta said both parking lots are full as are all of the upstairs computers. The Internet lounge is almost full. While residents can warm up and charge up their devices, WiFi is not working at the moment.

Today, the library will close at 5 p.m., which is the normal closing time for a Friday. Weekend hours are as usual: Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m., Sunday 1 to 5 p.m.

The Westfield Library is serving as the Infomation Hub for those who do not have power and may not have access to updates via the Town's website or Twitter @TownOfWestfield. The Mayor and Town Council have been distributing flyers to provide status updates. Hundreds of these new (11/1) flyers will be placed at the library. If anyone is available to help distribute these flyers in their neighborhood to those without power who may not have any other access to information, please pick up a supply to do so at the Library. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
