Voters in Westfield faced only one contested municipal election in Tuesday's primary. Republican Third Ward candidate David Oliveira won more than three times as many votes as challenger Diane Barabas.
Oliveira, a certified public accountant who currently serves as Clark's school business administrator, will face Democrat Matthew Sontz on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

In the race for Governor, Westfielders cast their ballots for Republican incumbent Chris Christie over Democrat Barbara Buono, 823 to 454.
Of Westfield's 21,280 registered voters, 1,504 cast their ballots.
