Thehosts a weeklygroup in the church's Jim Cole Room on Tuesday mornings from 9 to 11 a.m. The group is for those searching for work and membership is open to everyone in the Westfield community. The group offers support in the searching for work process and allows for networking and the sharing of job search information.

The  is offering a program for teens where high school-aged members meet each Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m at the agency.

The is pleased to host a workshop presented by Kean University's Small Business Development Center: Starting Your Own Business or Franchise at 6:30 p.m.

Also at 6:30 p.m., is hosting "Live Success Stories." Come get inspired by real life Weight Watchers Success Stories. Bring a friend who joins and you both receive a free gift.

Wednesday:

The Westfield Business Network will meet at at 7 a.m. The group meets the first and third Wednesday of the month and offers an opportunity to shares ideas, contacts and business referrals. Those interested in attending must contact Eric Godoy at 908-313-8416 or email Godoyhomes@gmail.com. Each meeting includes a full buffet breakfast/coffee and juice. The meeting fee is $13 which is collected upon arrival.

The College Woman's Club of Westfield invites all area women to their 11:30 a.m. charity luncheon. This year’s event features a talk by wine expert Alice Ryan on "What Every Woman Should Know About Wine." Tickets to the luncheon are $50 and all proceeds benefit the CWC scholarship fund for young women from Westfield. The Westfield PTC Special Education Committee will present the  from 7 to 10 p.m. at the . The symposium will offer parents of regular and special education students as well as educators a chance to hear from a panel of experts. The event is open to the public and free of charge. 

The y is pleased to present Walter Choroszewski, well-known New Jersey photographer, author and advocate of state pride, on  at 7 p.m. Chorozsewki will give an award-winning lecture offering his unique images and perspective on New Jersey history.

Thursday:

Westfield resident and financial advisor Jeff Romond will host a presentation offering strategies for parents to use when discussing money and savings with their children. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. at the Scotch Plains library. Attendees will leave with a four-chamber piggy bank which will serve as a tool to help children think about allocating funds for saving, spending, donating and investing. 

At 8 p.m.  offers Krav Maga Self Defense for women only. For a limited time, classes are free. Sign up is available through the website or by calling Jason at 732-684-0929.

There will be a Library Board Meeting at 8 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Program Room of the Westfield Memorial Library.

Friday:

Join Westfield Patch as we host our first 'How to Patch' event at 8:45 a.m. at the . Business owners can learn about how to claim their free directory listing in our Patch business directory and navigate our site to upload photos and enhance their listings. Learn how to use Social Networking tools such as Facebook, Yelp and Foursquare to promote your business and link to your directory listing. Coffee donated by and pastries donated by will be served.  presents THE “UNDERGROUND” (a.k.a- The Teen Center) on Friday nights. From 7 to 11 p.m., the event is held literally, underground, in the basement of the Municipal Building Recreation Center. Teens can play a game of pool at one of the three pool tables, keep their ping-pong skills in check, play some video games, watch a movie, or listen to their favorite music.

students will present at 7:30 p.m. The musical includes a flying Peter Pan and 145-pound St. Bernard from Scotch Plains in the role of 'Nana.' Tickets, which are reserved seating, are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. In addition, Roosevelt students will be able to purchase tickets during lunch periods on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday before the show.

Westfield Community Players will present its third production of its 2011-12 season with Tennessee Williams' classic drama, 'The Glass Menagerie' at 8 p.m. The production is being directed by Fred Cuozzo and produced by Lucille Bills.
