Storm Fills Library; Westfield Memorial Library Will Open Friday at 9:30 a.m.
At least 50 people were in line waiting for the library to open on Thursday, Nov. 1.
Record numbers of patrons filled the Westfield Memorial Library on Thursday in the aftermath of Sandy. They came to power up their laptops and other devices and to just get warm, noted Library publicist Roz Giuditta.
Long before the 9:30 a.m. opening, at least 50 people had already queued up to enter the library, Guiditta added.
The library will remain open today until 6 p.m. and will reopen Friday, Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m.
