Reports that Flu Clinic Ran Out of Vaccine

Health Department clinic in Garwood draws crowds.

Wednesday evening's flu clinic sponsored by the Westfield Regional Health Department at the Garwood Municipal Building drew enough crowds to cause the clinic to run out of shots.

It is being reported from those in line that the clinic had 150 doses of the shot available and ran out when several hundred people showed up for the shots. The flu clinic was open to residents in towns served by the regional health department. This includes Westfield, Fanwood, Springfield, Summit, Garwood, Mountainside, Roselle Park and New Providence. The line stretched from the municipal building's entrence from the parking lot on the corner of South Avenue and Center Street around the building and down South Avenue.
