PolitickerNJ: Bramnick on Christie LG Shortlist

Westfield assemblyman rises in contention for statewide run

PolitickerNJ reported on Tuesday afternoon that Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, R-Westfield, has risen in consideration to be Republican gubernatorial nominee Chris Christie's running mate for lieutenant governor. The report cites three GOP sources as saying Bramnick is being considered along with Bergen County Clerk Kathe Donovan and State Sen. Diane Allen, R-Burlington County, for the job. Westfield Patch reported earlier this month that Bramnick, and State Sen. Tom Kean, Jr., were under consideration for the lieutenant governor position on Christie's ticket. Kean has since withdrawn his name from consideration.
