Newark Mayor Cory Booker will attend a special event honoring Dave Haas on Sunday, April 21st, 2013 at 5:30 pm at the home of Janice Siegel and Lloyd Marks, 956 Wyandotte Trail.  Haas, the third ward Town Councilman, threw his hat in the ring last month to run for Westfield Mayor.

“Westfield needs a town government dedicated to promoting openness, transparency and the active involvement of every member of our community, regardless of political party or affiliation, in meeting the new and sometimes unexpected challenges we will face in the years ahead.  After eight years as a Westfield town councilman, I believe I have the experience, the independence and the vision needed to lead our town, to build on its strengths, foster an even stronger sense of community and keep Westfield one of New Jersey’s very best places to live,” said Haas.

“I know that Dave is an intelligent and caring leader who will make decisions based upon the facts and what is best for the people of Westfield, not because he is adhering to a party line,” said Mayor Booker.
