Leaf Collection Begins on Oct. 21

The Department of Public Works will collect leaves until Dec. 6.

Fall is officially here and as the leaves change colors it means that leaf pickup is just around the corner.

Westfield’s Department of Public Works will be collecting leaves from Oct. 21 to Dec. 6.  The Town is divided into ten leaf collection areas, which you can find, here.

Collection of leaves on both the North and South sides of town will begin at the same time and progress from Area 1 on the North Side and so on and Area 7 on the South Side and so on.

The Town of Westfield states that no leaves are permitted in the streets until Oct. 12. Additionally, the Town encouragers residents to check the map before raking or blowing leaves to the street to minimize the pile up. Also, leaves cannot be places closer than 10 feet form any inlet.

Vehicles should not be parked on the street during pickup, or on top of leaf piles at anytime. To determine when your leaves will be picked up, contact the leaf hotline at 789-4120.

In addition to regularly scheduled leaf pickup, residents can also use the Township’s pickup service by calling the Leaf Hotline (leaves must be in biodegradable bags) or drop leaves off at the Conservation Center from Oct. 14 to Dec. 20.
