Gone But Not Forgotten

Former Councilman Bigosinski remembered during roll call.

His term may have expired with the new year, but former Councilman Tom Bigosinski continues to live on in the Town Council chambers.

During last Wednesday's Council meeting, Town Clerk Claire Gray called the roll of the new Council for the first regular meeting of their term. The roll call was similar to the one for the last two years, except Councilman Frank Arena changed from fifth to first, new Councilman Sam Della Fera is now fifth and new Councilman Keith Loughlin is now eighth.

Loughlin, who defeated Bigosinski last November, has taken his predecessor's physical place on the dais and his spot in the roll call. He follows Councilmembers Vicki Kimmins and Dave Haas, who also preceeded Bigosinski in the roll call.

When Gray got to Loughlin's place on the roll call, she accidentally followed her custom for the last couple of years and called "Councilman Bigosinski." Following some good natured laughter over the innocent mistake, Gray called the new councilman's name and the meeting proceeded as normal.
