Garwood Police Thank Westfield for Use of Mobile Command Center

The Garwood Police Chief sent a letter to Mayor Andy Skibitsky thanking him for the use of the Town's mobile command center.

The Garwood Police Department thanked the Town of Westfield formally for the use of the mobile command center through a letter sent to Mayor Andy Skibitsky in November.

At the Dec. 3 Westfield Council Meeting, Town Clerk, Claire Gray, read aloud the letter sent from Garwood Police Chief, Bruce D. Underhill to Mayor Andy Skibistky. The letter thanked Westfield for the use of the mobile command center on Nov. 13 while the Borough of Garwood installed a generator. Garwood had requested the use of the county’s command center, but was told it was under construction and to ask Westfield.

“The entire process went off without a hitch,” Chief Underhill said.

He explained in the letter that the mobile command center was back in Westfield by the early evening.
