Four Way Stop Planned for Park and Boulevard

Ciarrocca says the sign will be implemented.

Drivers going along Boulevard should expect another stop along the way.

"That will be implemented," he said.

Ciarrocca said the four way stop has been asked for by residents in the neighborhood who were looking for traffic safety improvements. He said there had also been a request for pedestrian refuge islands to be put into place in the center of the roadway in order to help calm traffic. He said that would not be done but that town officials will look at other ideas. The idea of narrowing a roadway is a common method to slow traffic in a neighborhood.

Ciarrocca said the town will be working with the residents on other ideas for the intersection. He said the new four way stop should help improve traffic flow.
