Bramnick Launches Second Annual Photo Contest

Local assemblyman is looking for summer scenes.

Assemblyman Jon Bramnick has organized the Second Annual Summer Photography Contest. Photo submissions are open to the public as long as the photos capture the beauty of New Jersey.

There are three categories that the participants are allowed to take pictures of: Down the shore, state parks/historic sites, and animals. In order to take part in the contest, all photos must be submitted to the email asmbramnick@njleg.org by Sept. 4.

“Art is really important in New Jersey and with all the negative news that has been going on in New Jersey, this (contest) is uplifting," Bramnick said.

According to Bramnick, he decided to make the photo contest an annual event because last year the contest was a big success in which he received hundreds of photos.

Out of the hundreds of photos submitted, there will be three winners for each category and each will receive prizes. The winners of the previous year received $50 gift certificates to a book store. Not only will the winners receive prizes, but also the 21st Legislative District will make posters out of the winning photos and they will be showcased.
