Bramnick Collects DVDs for Troops.

Holiday drive to last through January.

Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) has announced a holiday drive at his downtown Westfield office to collect DVDs for military personal stationed overseas.

Bramnick is working with Summit Supports Our Troops, a Union County based non-profit looking to distribute entertainment packages to troops currently stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Both Westfield and Summit are in the 21st district represented by Bramnick.

Bramnick said that he will be accepting DVDs at his downtown office located on the second flood of 251 North Avenue West in the train station plaza. DVDs will be accepted at the office through Jan. 8. Westfield residents invited to include handwritten notes with their DVDs. The notes will be sent to as a part of the care package.

“The movie packages are a way of giving the troops a taste of home, while also letting them know we’re thinking of them,” Bramnick said in a prepared statement.
