Update: Jogger Identified as W. Dudley Ave Resident

Westfield police transported the jogger's wife to the hospital .

Update: The Westfield Police Department has identified the jogger who collapsed this morning at Roosevelt Intermediate School's track as a W. Dudley Avenue resident.

Westfield police have transported the man's wife to Overlook Hospital where he is being treated. Due to patient's privacy laws, the man's name is not being released at this time.

The is asking for the community's help in identifying a jogger who collapsed on the track at this morning.

At 9:50 a.m., a white male, approximately 50 years old, 6 feet tall, wearing running attire was found on the track.

"He doesn't have any identification," Chief David Wayman said. "It is believed that he does jog there regularly. It is also believed that he runs there from his residence as there is no vehicle present. It is believed that he collapsed from a heart attack and he is currently being treated at Overlook Hospital."

Wayman said the WPD wants to make every attempt to contact friends and family but needs the public's help.
