WFD Responds to Minor Hanford Place Fire

Early Sunday evening, the Westfield Fire Department responded to a deck fire on Hanford Place.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire. Neighbors on Hanford reportedly called 911 after seeing white smoke rising from the backyard. The fire was described as minor by firefighters on the scene and damage was contained to the back deck. No one was injured during the fire. The fire department inspected for structural damage to the residence.
