Westfield TD Bank Robbed
The perpetrator fled in a black sedan, which had been waiting.
The TD Bank retail branch on North Avenue was robbed on Sunday afternoon.
"A note was passed requesting money," said Westfield Police Department Captain David Wayman.
Initial reports say that the robber(s) made off with $5,700. The police were not yet able to release a description of the perpetrator(s).
Wayman said no weapon was displayed to bank employees. The perpetrator(s) fled in a black sedan, which had been waiting.
Wayman said that the robbery is under investigation by Westfield detectives and was reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which is expected to assist.
