Westfield School Officials Attend Police Security Drill

Information will be shared with all Westfield Public School administrators.

On Saturday, February 16, representatives from the Westfield Public School District and the Emergency Services Unit of the Westfield Police Department participated in an active shooter drill at Westfield High School.

The goal was to help school officials understand what to expect when law enforcement responds to a threatening situation at a school.  

Following an informative presentation, the school staff in attendance participated in building exercises. The information gleaned from the 3-hour experience will be shared with all Westfield Public School administrators.

“We very much appreciate the continued cooperation of our local enforcement officers in our mutual goal of providing safety in our schools,” stated Dr. Dolan.
