Westfield Police Department to Hold Bike Auction, Rodeo

Auction takes place on Saturday, April 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Pool Complex

Chief David Wayman of the Westfield Police Department announces that a bicycle auction will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Westfield Memorial Pool Complex, North Scotch Plains Avenue, Westfield, NJ.  There will be approximately (30) bicycles up for auction.  These are bicycles that have been in the possession of the Westfield Police Department for at least six (6) months with undeterminable ownership.  Bicycles will be available for inspection from 10:00 – 10:30 am with the auction starting promptly at 10:30 a.m. Successful bidders must pay cash at the time of sale. All sales are final. All items sold in "as is" condition.

Any individual who feels that their bicycle may be in the possession of the Westfield Police Department must bring proof of ownership by Thursday, April 18, 2013 by 1:30 p.m. to the Westfield Police Department. The sale is conducted by Sgt. Jason McErlean of the Westfield Police Department 

The bicycle auction will be followed by a “Bike Rodeo” that will test bicyclist skills and include safety skills for new bicycle riders. New bicycle helmets will be given to any individuals in need of a new helmet.
