Westfield High School Open After Power Outage Tuesday Evening

Fire officials said power was restored just before 7 a.m. this morning.

was evacuated Tuesday evening after a small power outage, Battalion Chief Robert Buccino confirmed Wednesday morning.

Buccino said the school "just got up and running" and reopened just before 7 a.m. "to the delight of some." 

Buccino said he needed to evacuate the school before 8 p.m. last evening because the power in the building needed to be turned off completely so PSE&G could work on restoring the power supply to one of the legs that had malfunctioned causing the outage.
