Two Drug Arrests Last Week

Arrests occur during motor vehicle stops in the town.

Westfield police handled two drug related arrests last week.

On Feb. 14, Lynde Jules, 20, of Westfield was arrested at the intersection of North Avenue West and Tuttle Parkway during a motor vehicle stop and received four charges. Jules was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute and possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute in a school zone.

The arrest occurred blocks from Roosevelt Intermediate School. She was transported to police headquarters and released without bail. Jules is scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Elizabeth.

On Feb. 9, the police charged John Bohlinger, 18, of Westfield will the possession of under 50 grams of marijuana. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released.
