A NJ Transit police officer passed out on the Raritan Valley Line tracks Saturday afternoon, but service was not affected, a NJ Transit spokesperson said.
BNN reported emergency communication shortly after 2 p.m. that the officer had fallen on the tracks and it was a potential stroke. The communication also noted that Cranford police had asked NJ Transit to suspend service on the Raritan Valley line. The incident occurred behind the Riverside Inn near the bridge over Centennial Avenue.
It is not known why the police officer was on the train bed in that area.
