Three Thefts in Last Week

Two bikes and property taken.

Three Westfield residents reported the theft of property last week, with at least two occurring at private residences.

On Aug. 18, a resident in the 600 block of Stirling Place reported the theft of a bike that was valued at $200. The theft occurred on or about Aug. 4. Police records indicate that there are suspects in the case.

On Aug. 21, a resident of the 1100 block of Boynton Avenue reported the theft of $1,000 in property from their home. By being classified as a theft, the item was likely taken by someone known to the home owner or let into the house by the homeowner.

On Aug. 23, a Westfield resident reported the theft of a silver Trek hybrid bike, which occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. The theft occurred in the vicinity of Gumbert Park.
