Police Blotter: Warrant Drug Arrests Dominate Criminal Activity

A look at the week in crime.

The Westfield Police were active over the last week handling a variety of crimes in town, including a series of drug related crimes.

Dec. 17

Marco Illa, 32, of Perth Amboy was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop at North Avenue West and Prospect Street.

Sandro Rosario, 31, of Perth Amboy was arrested on a $865 Perth Amboy warrant anda  $758 Woodbridge warrant following a motor vehicle stop at North Avenue West and Prospect Street.

Tristan Tinnes, 23, of Fanwood was arrested on South Avenue West and Boulevard on a $89 Fanwood warrant and a $81 Scotch Plains warrant.

Akeen Noray, 19, of Westfield was arrested on South Avenue West and Crossway n a warrant from the sheriff of Union County. Officers observed him in the area and then conducted an investigation to find the warrant.

A resident of the 100 block of Lincoln Road reported the theft of a package that had been delivered to the house between Nov. 17 and Dec. 17. The package was worth $250.

Dec. 18

Andrew Dunaj, 20, of Lambertville was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuna and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at East Broad Street and Elm Street. He was first stop for driving while talking on a handheld cell phone. He was issued a summons for both.

Salvatore O. Fazio, 25, of Westfield was arrested at Rahway Avenue and Clifton Street on a $150 Neptune Township warrant.

Megan Walsh, 43, of Scotch Plains was arrested for shoplifting on the 600 block of North Avenue West. She is accused of leaving the store without paying $821.50.

Dec. 20

Steven Auerbutch, 29, of Scotch Plains was arrested on a $231 Westfield warrant.

Dec. 21

Thomas Duan, 35, of Westfield was arrested at police headquarters on a  $300 Weehawken warrant.
