Police Blotter: Two GPS Devices Stolen From Cars Parked in Washington Neighborhood

The following arrest information was provided by the Westfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two residents reported the theft of GPS devices from their cars while they were parked in the Washington School neighborhood on Monday afternoon. The two reports came into Westfield police shortly after 1 p.m. on Monday. The cases remain under investigation by the detective bureau.

A resident of the 0-100 block of Normandy Drive reported an act of criminal mischief to their car while it was parked on the street in front of the home. An unknown object was used to scratch the driver's side door. The damage is valued at $1500.

A resident of the 400 block of Beechwood Place reported the theft of a $700 iPad from the residence two weeks before.

June 12

Graffiti was found on the northeast service door of Jefferson School.

Dennis Brown, 23, of Westfield was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of prescription drugs and possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance, following a motor vehicle stop. He was processed and released.

June 13

A Garmin GPS was reported stolen from a car parked on the 200 block of Benson Place.

A Tom Tom GPS was reported stolen from a car parked on the 200 block of Wells.

June 14

A mirror was reported stolen from a car parked on the 1100 block of South Avenue West. The value is $200.

June 15

Glinda Jones, 43, of Plainfield was arrested at South and Cacciola on a Westfield warrant. She was processed and released.

Trinessa Smith, 20, was arrested at Clover and Lenese on an East Orange warrant.

Alyssa Agrout, 23, of Clark was arrested on a Beach Haven warrant.
