Police Blotter: September 12 - 18, 2012

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

September 12 – John Nicholls, 21, of Edison, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for his arrest issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $500. Further investigation revealed that Nicholls also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by Garwood Municipal Court in the amount of $89. He was released on his own recognizance by Westfield Municipal Court and turned over to the Garwood Police Department.

September 13 – Jermaine McDougald, 29, of Newark, was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $582. Further investigation revealed that McDougald also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by Roselle Municipal Court in the amount of $350. McDougald was processed and placed in cell #1.

September 14 – A resident of the 800 block of Dorian Road reported being the victim of identity theft. Unknown suspect used the victim’s information and made charges to the victim’s account.

Donald Roberson, 48, of Roselle, was arrested on the strength of outstanding warrants for his arrest from multiple jurisdictions. Roberson was wanted on warrants issued by Elizabeth Municipal Court in the amount of $1,992; Irvington Municipal Court in the amount of $205; and Newark Municipal Court in the amount of $125. Roberson was processed and placed in cell #1 awaiting Elizabeth Police.

September 15 – After being stopped for motor vehicle violations, Ebony Tyler, 32, of Plainfield, was arrested on the strength of outstanding warrants for her arrest issued by Plainfield and Somerville Municipal Courts. Tyler was processed and released after posting bail.

September 16 – Nichisla Thomas, 34, of Bloomfield, was arrested after a motor vehicle stop on the strength of an Irvington warrant in the amount of $541. Thomas was released after posting bail.

September 18 – Gregory Guerrier, 23, of Roselle, was arrested at Roselle Park Police Department on the strength of a warrant issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $439. Guerrier was held pending transport to Union County Jail, pending a court appearance.
