Police Blotter: Routine Arrests Mark Week

A look at the week in crime.

The Westfield Police Department focused on routine arrests in the last week. The warrant and drug arrests were combined with the arrest made for car break-ins in the Park Street neighborhood last Friday.

March 4

  • Chamar Cobble, 18, of Plainfield was arrested during a motor vehicle stop after police found under 50 grams of marijuana in her car.
  • Laura Smith-Alvaraz, 20, of Plainfield was arrested for outstanding warrants from Piscataway and Watchung. Bail was posted.

March 7

  • Brendon J. Romanski, 36, of Cranford was arrested on a $500 Westfield traffic warrant and a $500 Westfield criminal warrant. Bail was posted.
  • Peter Paoria, 35, of Maplewood was arrested on a Springfield warrant. Bail was posted.

March 8

  • Christopher Gallagher, 32, of Carteret was arrested after a motor vehicle stop for a $500 Newark criminal warrant.
  • Edward O'Connor, 30, of Clark was arrested at a motor vehicle stop on a warrant from the sheriff of Union County. He was transported to the sheriff of Union County.
