Police Blotter: Routine Arrests Mark Week

Police handle warrant arrests.

The Westfield Police fielded a variety of warrant- and traffic-related arrests during the past week. Several of the arrests were for warrants issued by the Westfield Municipal Court.

Sept. 8

  • Christine Dans of Newark was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Elizabeth following a motor vehicle stop in Westfield.
  • John Domes III, 34, of Rahway was arrested at the Middlesex County Jail on a Westfield warrant in the amount of $1,133. An investigation showed that he also was wanted on a Toms River warrant in the amount of $500. He is being held after being unable to post bail.

  • Hushin Scott, 28, of Elizabeth was arrested at the Roselle Park police department on a $500 Westfield warrant. He was unable to post bail.
  • Michael Palumbo, 40, of Colonia was arrested on an $841 Westfield warrant and a $600 Roselle warrant.
  • Tony Hines, 40, of Plainfield was arrested on a $530 warrant from Plainfield and a warrant from the Union County Sheriff. The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop where he was given a summons for a seatbelt violation. He has been turned over to the county sheriff.
  • Shona Douglass of Plainfield was arrested on warrants from Piscataway, Tinton Falls, Scotch Plains and Fanwood.
  • Glenn Miller of Westfield was arrested on a Clark warrant.
  • Kevin Coleman, 23, of Plainfield was arrested at the Plainfield police department on a $1,500 Westfield warrant. An investigation revealed he was also wanted on a $589 warrant from Irvington.
  • Omar Harris, 40, of Linden was arrested at the Somerset County Jail on a $518 Westfield warrant. He is being held in lieu of bail.

Sept. 10

  • Paul Goodman, 36, of Jersey Cit was arrested on a $500 Haledon warrant after being stopped for driving with an expired inspection sticker.
  • Calvin Dickson, 44, of Blairstown was arrested on a $120 Parsippany-Troy Hills warrant. He was stopped for failing to display a company name on a commercial vehicle.

  • Mike Roberson, 44, of Plainfield was arrested on a warrant from Sayreville in the amount of $250. He had been stopped for operating a motor vehicle with tinted windows, at the intersection of South Avenue West and Crossway Place.
  • James Pendergast of Clark turned himself in on two Westfield warrants in the amounts of $500 and $106.

Sept. 12

  • Christopher Loder, 44, of Westfield came to the police department to handle a $182 warrant.
  • Akeem Henry of Westfield was arrested on warrants from Seaside Heights and Westfield totaling $1,000.
  • Nicholas Mancinelli of Westfield was arrested on a $750 Westfield warrant.
