Police Blotter: Police Respond to Call of iPhone Stolen in November During Busy Week

A response to an iPhone that the resident believes was stolen last November, along with drug and warrant arrests dominated the work of the Westfield Police in the last week. Following slow crime weeks in the last month, the return of warm weather has increased the work of the department.

March 22

• James Pflog, 51, of Clark was arrested for a DWI at the intersection of Mountain and Kimball. He was also charged for refusing to give breath samples.

March 23

• Keashaw James, 19, of Plainfield was arrested on a $201 Westfield traffic warrant. Bail was posted.
• Kathy Day, 38, of New York City was arrested on a $200 Eageswood warrant. Bail was posted.
• Gerard Thompson, 45, of Plainfield was arrested on a $500 Westfield warrant after a prisoner pick-up at the Plainfield police. He was placed in cell one in lieu of bail.

March 24

• Brittine Campbell, 19, of Magnolia, Del. w as arrested on a $430 Roseland warrant during a motor vehicle stop on the 300 block of North Avenue East.
• Latoyta Fields-Thomas, 26, of Newark was arrested in the area of North Avenue West and Central Avenue during a traffic stop. She was wanted on four Newark warrants totaling $831, a $200 Irvington warrant and a $750 Seacaucus warrant. She was transported to police headquarters from processing and was found to be possession of suspected cocaine. Bail was set at $1,000 and she was transported to the Union County jail.

March 25

• Edward T. Nugent III, 18, of Westfield was arrested on Central Avenue near Park Street on a Westfield court warrant. He was processed and released.
• Shannon Harrison, 24, of Plainfield came to headquarters to satisfy a traffic warrant. She was processed and released.
• A resident of the 100 block of East Dudley reported the theft of a iphone from a vehicle. The theft is believed to have occurred in November 2009. It was referred to the Detective Bureau.

March 26

• Vanessa Jeann, 22, of Plainfield was arrested on a West Windsor warrant. She was processed and released.
• Theresa R. Brown, 42, of Garwood was arrested on a Westfield warrant. She was processed and released.
• Edis Padilla, 24, of Plainfield was arrested on a $200 North Plainfield warrant during a motor vehicle stop on North Avenue West.

March 28

• Jilliam Wilchez, 28, of Jersey City was arrested on a $500 West Windsor warrant.
• Victor Pinhon, 26, of Jersey City was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 29

• Jermaine E. Reed, 26, of East Orange was arrested on a $125 Newark warrant. He was processed and released.
• Peter Kearne was arrested on a $750 Bridgewater warrant. He was processed and released.
