Police Blotter: Plainfield Resident Arrested, Released, Arrested; Business Reports Fraud

A look at police activity.

A variety of crimes filled the plate of the Westfield police over the past week. Outside of the multitown race to catch a machine gun toting car jacker, police handled multiple routine warrant arrests, the arrest of one person twice and the report of fraud from a south side business.

July 8

Christopher Wendt, 25, of South Amboy was arrested at the South Amboy police department on a $147 Westfield warrant. He was unable to post bail.

Salvatore Fazio, 26, of Westfield was arrested at South and Downer on warrants from Bloomfield and Ridgefield Park totaling $425. He posted bail.

July 9

Vander Thompson, 25, of Highland Park was arrated on a $750 Westfield warrant. He posted bail.

July 10

Jeffrey Robinson, 51, of Plainfield was arrested on two Newark warrants totaling $891. He was processed and released.

A representative of a business on the 600 block of Central Avenue reported the business being the victim of theft and fraud. The representative said a former employee collected rental money due the victim. The suspect is alleged to have had the payee put money in the checks made out to the suspect and then cashing the checks.

July 11

Igor Stativkina, 30, of Westfield was arrested for DWI.

Robert Lange, 25, of Scotch Plains was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance during a motor vehicle stop.

Peter Bailey, 52, of Plainfield on the 500 block of East Broad Street for a burglary and theft on the 500 block of St. Marks.

After leaving the police department, Peter Bailey, 52, of Plainfield was arrested for being in possession of stolen bike. He was taken back to police headquarters and bail was set at $2,500. He was taken to the county jail.

July 12

Edwin Pastrot, 43, of Cranford was arrested on two warrants totaling $305. He also had a unregistered and uninsured car.

July 13

Lynde N. Jules, 21, of Westfield was arrested during an investigation on the 1200 block of South Avenue West. He was processed and released.

Oscar Robinson-Flores, 35, of Elizabeth was arrested in the area of 609 North Avenue West during a motor vehicle stop. The warrants for arrested included a $604 Randolph warrant, a $643 South Plainfield warrant, a $882 Elizabeth warrant, a $633 North Plainfield warrant and a $2,500 Dover warant. He was transported to the Dver police.

July 14

David Barber, 49, of Asbury Park was arrested on a Westfield warrant. He was processed and released.

Dugan Randolph, 25, of Plainfield was arrested on North and Broad on a Toms River warrant. He was processed and released.
