Police Blotter: Jan. 5 through Jan. 13, 2012

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Jan. 8 - Officers arrested Kenneth Widgeton, Jr., 24 of Plainfield, during a motor vehicle stop in the area of E. South Avenue and Windsor Avenue for possession of less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the , processed and released on summonses. 

Jan. 10 - Officers arrested Diego Panta-Castaneda, 21 of Scotch Plains, during a motor vehicle stop in the area of W. North Avenue and Edgewood Avenue on the strength of warrants issued from Lacey Township ($750) and Elizabeth Police Department ($200). He was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting bail. 

Jan. 11 - Fred Hodges, of Union, responded to police headquarters to satisfy a Westfield traffic warrant for $500 (no 10 percent). He was released on his own recognizance as per court.
