Police Blotter: Graffiti Tagging, Rolex Theft and Routine Arrests

A look at a week in police activity.

Westfield police responded to a variety of crimes in the last week. This included a series of routine warrant arrests and a graffiti tagging on a building in the downtown business district.

May 12

  • Damian Williamson, 33, of Elizbabeth was arrested on a Scotch Plains court warrant. He was processed and held on bail.
  • A victim reported that a Columbia brand bike that was stolen from Edison Intermediate School was found.

  • Nelson A. Condor, 34, of Orange was arrested at police headquarters after responding to satisfy a $100 Westfield warrant. He posted bail and was released.
  • Glen Clisham, 31, of North Plainfield was arrested for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on South Avenue.

May 15

  • Enoch Paragulla, 21, of Edison was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle stop at Lamberts Mill Road and Raritan Road.
  • Chelsea A. Smith, 22, of South Plainfield was arrested for DWI following an investigation at Lamberts Mill Road and Raritan Road.

  • Darell W. Linton was arrested at the Scotch Plains police department on a $250 Westfield warrant. He posted bail.
  • Aceem McRay, 19, of Westfield was arrested on a $600 Mountainside warrant.
  • The property owner of a business on the 200 block of E. Grove Street reported that an unknown subject wrote graffiti on an exterior wall. The owner was not sure when the graffiti was placed on the building but believes it was in the last few weeks. The cost of removal is unknown.
  • A resident of Munsee Way reported finding property in the 800 block of Ramapo Way. The police attempted to locate the property owner and were unsuccessful. The property, a blue and brown duffel bag with men's clothing in it, was secured in the police locker.

May 18

  • Jason L. Herkel, 27, of Scotch Plains was arrested in the area of West Broad Street and Hazel for DWI.
  • Tayvon Badde, 24, of Plainfield was arrested on the 500 block of North Avenue West on Cranford and Springfield warrants.
  • A resident of the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue reported the theft of a Ladies Rolex and $500 in cash. The total value was $4,900.
