Police Blotter: Graffiti Found on Edison

A look at the week in police activity.

With the return of warm weather graffiit reports have started to come in around town. Police received a call on Thursday that a wall at Edison Intermediate School had been tagged with graffiti. Graffiti has been a recurring problem on school and business walls in the warm weather months the last several years.

May 13

A fraud was commited on the 700 block of Warren Street with credit charges in excess of $600 charged to the victim's account.

A theft was reported at a business on the 200 block of South Avenue East.

Dana L. LaBriola, 30, of Westfield responded to police headquarters to satisfy an active$750 criminal warrant from Westfield. She was processed and released.

May 15

Ralph Rotondo, 20, of Westfield was arrested on a $200 Westfield warrant.

May 16

Lajan Wade of Elizabeth was arrested on a  Westfield warrant and held in the lieu of bail.

A resident of the 1200 block of Rahway Avenue reports being the victim of a burglary. The suspects gained entry with force through a window. An unknown amount of items was taken.

May 18

A Westfield resident reported the theft of a bicycle from the north side of the train station after its lock was cyt. The bike was described as a men's Trek 4300 Mountain bike. The color of the bike is yellow.

May 19

An unknown actor committed an act to the side of Edison Intermediate School in the form of graffiti. The graffiti was on the south side wall of the school.
