Dec. 29 – Police arrested Taylor Carvallo, 20 of Watchung, on an outstanding Westfield warrant (with a bail set at $500) at the Scotch Plains Police Department. The subject was unable to post bail and was committed to Union County jail after being turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.
Dec. 30 – Police arrested Brian Rotchford, 53 of Westfield, on an outstanding criminal warrant for terroristic threats. The subject was transported to the , processed and committed to Union County jail in lieu of bail of $20,000 with a 10 percent option.
Dec. 31 – Police arrested Samuel Kaufman, 20 of Westfield, during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Mountain Avenue and Orchard Street. The subject was wanted on outstanding warrant from the Clark Police Department (with a bail set at $165). A further investigation revealed the subject was in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and four oxycodone pills without a legal prescription. The subject was issued a summons to appear in for the drug possession charges. The subject posted cash bail for the Clark warrant and was released.

Police arrested Farrell Markis, 36 of Allentown, Pa., during a motor vehicle stop on the 500 Block of W. South Avenue for DWI. The subject was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released to a sober adult. The subject was also wanted on an outstanding traffic warrant from Ridgefield Park (with a bail set at $1,000). The subject was released on his own recognizance by the issuing agency.
Jan. 3 – Police arrested Joseph Materek, 55 Westfield, on the 1100 Block of W. South Avenue on the strength of an ATS warrant (with a bail set at $500) out of the Westfield Municipal Court. The subject was processed and released on posted bail.

Police arrested Juan Velez, 22 of Avenel, on an outstanding Woodbridge warrant (with a bail set at $333) following a motor vehicle stop at Central and Wyoming. The subject posted bail and was released.
Jan. 4 – Police arrested Charlie Craddock, 56 of Plainfield, on an outstanding warrant out of Westfield (with a bail set at $750) and a warrant out of Plainfield ($333) at Edison Police Headquarters. The subject was released on his own recognizance on the Westfield warrant pending a court appearance and turned over to the Plainfield Police Department.
