Police Blotter: Shoplifting Arrest Made at Urban Outfitters

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 2: Sajata Henry, 31, of Newark was arrested at the Essex County jail on an outstanding Westfield warrant for $500. Henry was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on her own recognizance after appearing in court.

Jan. 3: Matthew O. Welty, 26, of Metuchen was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Central Avenue near Grove Street on two outstanding traffic warrants from Westfield totaling $157. Welty was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on posted bail.

Christopher Randell, 30, of Farmingdale, N.Y. was arrested during an investigation on the 600 block of Roosevelt Street. Randell was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Northvale. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released after posting $215 bail.

David Castaneda, 38, of Union was arrested on an outstanding Scotch Plains traffic warrant for $254 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop at Springfield Avenue and Cardinal Drive. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on posted bail.

Jan. 5: Robert Rayford, 39, of Roselle was arrested on an outstanding Irvington criminal warrant after turning himself in at Westfield police headquarters. He was processed and released after posting $230 bail.

Jan 6: Dawn Fialk, 48, of South Amboy was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop at Central Avenue and Wyoming Street. She was released to a sober adult.

Jan. 8: David Brinkely, 26, of Plainfield, was arrested on an outstanding Westfield warrant for $500 at Plainfield Police Department. He was held in lieu of bail pending a Jan. 9 court date.

Adnan Maqsood, 19, of Union, was arrested on two outstanding Westfield warrants at police headquarters totaling $1,000 which were satisfied after posting bail on each.

Kyle Fleming of Westfield was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant from another jurisdiction. He was released after posting bail.
