Police Blotter: Home Burglaries Reported

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 24: A burglary was reported on the 1900 block of Grandview Avenue, in which unknown suspect(s) forced entery to the residence and took approximately $2,100 in jewelry.

A resident of the 100 block of Marion Avenue reported a theft at her residence, in which unknown suspect(s) took an estimated $8,000 worth of jewelry. The incident occurred sometime between last November and the present time.

John Bacardi, 34, of Metuchen was arrested and charged with possession of CDS/less than 50 grams of suspected marijuana following a motor vehicle stop at North and West Dudley Avenues. He was released on his own recognizance with summonses.

Jan. 25: An Embree Court resident reported being the victim of a theft. Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim's 2012 Acura from the driveway of the residence.

Shanice Turner, 20, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant for $1,000 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Turner was processed and released after posting bail.

Joel Vasques of Dunellen was arrested at the Somerset County jail on an outstanding Westfield traffic warrant. He was released after processing and posting bail. 

Justin Olsen, 23, of Westfield was arrested and charged with shoplifting at Lord & Taylor. Olsen was processed and released.

Jan. 26: Matthew Dellandrino, 24, of Garwood was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of a CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within a school zone and also a park. Dellandrino was processed and released after posting a $15,000 bond.
