Police Blotter: August 13 - 21, 2012

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

August 13 – Mice Lawson, 24, of Linden, was arrested at Essex County Jail on the strength of a warrant issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $1,000. Lawson was also wanted on a warrant issued by Plainfield Police Department in the amount of $250. Lawson was unable to post bail and was remanded to Union County Jail.

August 16 – Austin Slifer, 18, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, following a motor vehicle stop at Roger and Central Avenues. Slifer was turned over to a sober adult.

Pursuant to a motor vehicle stop, passenger Tyrell Jabria, 32, of Newark, was summonsed for not wearing a seatbelt and was arrested on two outstanding warrants totaling $1,660.

August 18 – David Pritzker, 40, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for his arrest issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $134. Pritzker was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance after posting bail.

Michael Connolly, 45, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for his arrest issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $145. Connolly was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance.

August 19 – A resident of the 900 block of Fairacres Avenue reported being the victim of criminal mischief. Unknown suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle.

August 20 – Michael Wertz, 39, of East Brunswick, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for his arrest issued by Westfield Municipal Court in the amount of $120, pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Wertz was arrested, processed and released on his own recognizance.

August 21 – A resident of the 700 block of Radley Road reported being the victim of criminal mischief. Unknown suspect(s) damaged the victim’s vehicle.
