Police Blotter: Identity Stolen, Drug Arrest Made

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 31: Nathan L. Hall, 34, of Southport, Conn. was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop at Central Avenue and Cacciola Place. He was held at police headquarters and released when sober.

Feb. 1: A resident of the 800 block of Forest Avenue reported that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen her identity and cleaned out her Capital One bank account. The victim reported the theft of $150.65.

Feb, 2: A resident of Breeze Knoll Drive reported being the victim of theft by deception. The victim stated that he shipped an item worth $270 and never received payment.

Feb. 6: Ali Zeigler, 22, and Adam Gmyrek, 21, both of Linden, were arrested for possession of CDS/heroin following an investigation in the 400 block of S. Euclid Ave. Zeigler was also found to have an outstanding warrant in the amount of $328 issued by Linden Municipal Court. Zeigler posted bail on the Linden warrant and both were released on summonses, pending a Superior Court Date of Feb. 13.
