Police Blotter: Residents Report Thefts, Mischief

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 20:  A resident of Pine Grove Avenue reports being the victim of identity theft. Unknown suspect(s) accessed the victim's credit card and charged $1,000.

Feb. 21: A resident of the 600 block of Shackamaxon Drive reported an act of criminal mischief. While parked at the South Side train station, an unknown suspect keyed her vehicle.

A resident from the 800 block of Lamberts Mill Road reports being the victim of a theft. Unknown suspect(s) removed electrical equipment from the residence valued at $1,200.

A business located on the 200 block of East Broad Street reported being the victim of a theft. Unknown suspect(s) took approximately $1,515 worth of property from the business.

Toni Hill, 36, of Vauxhall, was arrested for driving while intoxicated pursuant to a motor vehicle accident investigation at Mountain and East Dudley Avenues. Hill was transported to the hospital, processed and released from police custody to a sober adult.

Feb. 23: Earl Alexander, 65, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop in Scotch Plains Township on W. South Avenue. Alexander was released to a sober adult.

A resident of the 200 block of Sinclair Place reported an attempted burglary and mischief. The resident reported an unknown suspect cut a screen and tried to pry open a window at the residence. 

Feb. 24: Robert Hernandez, 22, of Berkeley Heights, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following stop at Mountain Avenue and Birch Place. He was released to a sober adult.
