Police Blotter: Two Manitou Circle Homes Burglarized

The following information was obtained from the Westfield Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 6, Emerson Siess, 39, described as "homeless," was arrested on an outstanding New Brunswick criminal warrant for $400. Siess was apprehended after police responded to a call regarding a suspicious person on the 100 block of East Broad Street. He was unable to post bail and turned over to New Brunswick authorities.

Police received a report regarding a theft on the 800 block of East Broad Street. The victim stated that jewelry and an iPod were taken from the residence. The total value of the theft was $5,661.

A resident of the 900 block of Woodmere Drive filed a report of theft and fraud. The value of the loss was estimated at $20,831.93.

Maureen Regan, 56, of Westfield was arrested near Shackamaxon Drive and Radley Road during an investigation concerning a report of a suspicious motor vehicle. Regan was arrested on two outstanding warrants, totaling $110. She posted bail and was released.

Dec. 7: A resident of the 700 block of Harding Street reported an incident of fraud in the amount of $244.

Dec. 8: A resident of Mohawk Trail reported being the victim of fraud after purchasing concert tickets to a One Direction show from a seller on Craigslist. The victim purchased the tickets for $600 and was told at the concert venue the tickets were fraudulent.

Mario John Cassitta, 29, of Roselle Park was arrested at Roselle Park police headquarters on an outstanding $1,500 Westfield warrant. He was transported to Westfield police headquarters and committed to the Union County jail.

Dec. 9: Lisa Dilollo, 25, of Elizabeth was arrested and charged with shoplifting in the 600 block of West North Avenue. She was transported to Westfield police headquarters, processed and released. 

Dec. 10: Tyrell Ferguson-Wade was arrested at South Plainfield police headquarters on oustanding Westfield and Clark warrants. He was processesd and held until he could be brought before the court. 

Dec. 11: Algernon Davis, 53, of Roselle Park was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Monmouth County Superior Court in the amount of $750 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Davis posted bail.

Malik Buford, 32, of Newark was arrested during a motor vehicle stop in the area of Stirling Place and Livingston Street on the strength of an outstanding warrant issued by the Irvington Municipal Court. Buford was transported to the Westfield Police Department, processed and released after posting bail.

Dec. 13: Jerry Page, 55, of Plainfield was arrested at a business in the 600 block of W. North Avenue for shoplifting. Page attempted to leave the business without paying for two Michael Kors watches valued at $500. Page was released after being served with a summons to appear in court. 

Dec. 14: A resident of Manitou Circle reported a burglary to the residence between 7 p.m. and 11:54 p.m. Supsect(s) entered through a first floor rear window after removing the screen, then entered the master bedroom and ransacked it. A gold necklace and a gold bracelet were taken. The value of both items was not known. value not known. A search of the area yielded no suspect (s). 

A resident of Manitou Circle was found to have been burglarized while officers were checking the neighborhood for suspect(s) regarding a separate burglary in the area. Suspect(s) had thrown a brick through a rear sliding glass door and entered through it and ransacked the entire residence. It was not immediately known if anything was taken. 

Dec. 15: Alexander Fourre, 25, of Scotch Plains for driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop at East Broad Street and Bradson Court. Fourre was released to a sober adult.

Dec. 16: A resident of the 600 block of Boulevard reported that unknown suspect(s) committed acts of criminal mischief to the residence by damaging light fixtures valued at approximately $250.

Shane Edwards, 22, of Westfield was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant for his arrest from Clark Municipal Court in the amount of $350 pursuant to a motor vehicle stop. Edwards was arrested and released on his own recognizance
