String of Car Break-Ins on Florida Street Under Investigation

Four Florida Street residents found their vehicles broken into on the morning of Nov. 26, Westfield Police said.

A resident of the 1700 block of Florida Street reported at about 7:05 a.m. that someone entered and ransacked his vehicle. However, nothing was reported missing, according to the report.

A few minutes later, another resident in the 1700 block reported $20 worth of items was stolen from his vehicle, police said.

Another resident on the same block reported $45 worth of items was removed from his vehicle and a fourth resident reported $55 in cash was removed from her unlocked parked vehicle.

The Westfield Police Department is investigating these incidents.
