Man Threatens Driver With Bat in 'Road Rage' Incident, Police Say

Wayne Augenstein, 66, of Clark, was charged with making terroristic threats and unlawful possession of a weapon.

A Clark man was arrested in Westfield on Sunday for threatening to beat another driver with a baseball bat, according to Westfield Police Capt. Scott Rodger.

Wayne Augenstein, 66, got into a verbal argument with another driver about which person had the right of way on Raritan Road in Clark. As the drivers crossed into Westfied, Augenstein exited his vehicle, took out a baseball bat, cursed and threatened to beat the other driver with it, Rodger told the Alternative Press.
