Hunan Wok Burglarized

Chinese restaurant's front door smashed.

Police officers on patrol found the front door of the Hunan Wok III smashed on June 5, moments after writing down the plate number of a van parked the wrong way on East Broad Street. The van's driver, Virgil Cleveland of Burling, was sleeping in the van with the tip jar, before driving off. The cops radioed the plate number to neighboring departments and the Cranford police stopped Cleveland, who was arrested.

Cleveland is being held in the Union County jail on charges of burglary, theft, criminal mischief and possession of stolen property.
