A fire broke out at 686 Westfield Avenue on Saturday and was extinguished by the Westfield Fire Department.
The fire occurred in the afternoon and Westfield Battalion Chief Robert Buccino told the Alternative Press that firefighters arrived on scene at 1:58 p.m.
Initial reports said the fire was in the basement of the home, but Westfield Fire Chief Dan Kelly was unavailable for comment when Patch contacted the department.
