Fire Damages Euclid Avenue Porch

The minor fire took place at Westfield Cardiology.

A minor mulch fire provided minor damage to the porch of 134 S. Euclid Ave. on Wednesday afternoon.

Fire Department officials at the scene said the minor fire started under the porch and brought some smoke into the building. Parts of the screen surrounding the bottom of the porch had been removed to extinguish the fire.

The porch sustained some minor damage in parts, but firefighters were seen walking on other parts of the porch in order to remove equipment installed to ventilate the building of smoke. One fire engine and two police cars responded to the scene, which did not impact traffic on the medical office heavy block of Euclid, between East Broad Street and Lenox Avenue.
