Crisis Intervention Training Provides Union County Officers Skills To Recognize Mental Illness

About three times a year, Union County police officers are taught how to recognize the signs of mental illness through training sessions conducted by the Crisis Intervention Team, according to nj.com.

These voluntary sessions are aimed at helping produce better outcomes in situations involving the mental ill and create closer ties between mental health care providers and law enforcement, according to nj.com.
