The Westfield police are investigating a report of a burglary to a residence on the 600 block of Saint Marks Avenue on Feb. 17.
A resident of the 600 block called police on the 17th to report a burglary which occurred between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on that day. The resident reported that there were no signs of forced entry and that noting was missing or stolen from the home.
The burglary is part of a series of burglaries in town since last spring. Police are working the county prosecucor and a group of law enforcement agencies from Union and Somerset Counties to address the burglary issue. May of the communities in the group are towns closer to Westfield's size and in a suburban environment.
